Tim Willetts writes: Our concert on 29 June, with Pandemonium Steel Pans, raised £1826 for Helen & Douglas House Children’s Hospice. Well done team, and thanks to St Lawrence Church and to our wonderful audience. Special thanks to Pippa, for the idea and organisation, and to Pandemonium Steel Pans. And we have discovered how good steel pans and bells sound together!
On Thursday 14th February 2013, the new Vicar of Chobham, Reverend Christopher Bessant, was inducted and installed at St Lawrence Church. We were very pleased to be asked to take part in the service.
We rang a processional – “Ring in the New” by Sandra Winter – to lead the new Vicar and the Rural Dean into the Church at the beginning of the service.
